Jeff once again delves into his geographical repertoire for this bouncy creation, about an American pioneer. The song is as catchy as most of Jeff's pop tunes and doesn't disappoint as a single. The songs on both sides of this single were recorded on a joyous video shoot.

I'm Alive (J Christie)

The flipside of the single is, in many observers' opinions, more worthy of being placed on the A-side. The lovely melody backs up some wonderful lyrics about looking at life in perspective, and is one of Jeff's best songs. There are two known versions of this piece: the rockier arrangement on the single, and a semi-acoustic version found on the For All Mankind CD, which shows off the song's merits to the fore.
