This is the more well-known short of the boys playing their instruments on a barge as it travels down the River Thames, passing by the House of Commons and other attractions.
Mike had left the band by the time this video was shot, so the featured drummer is Paul.

FEEDBACK

I wish we had music like this today instead of the junk they call music. Wish I could have been a teen in the 60's and 70's.
katydidscorner

It's great they shot this video sailing down the Thames through the awesome London. the golden age of music!
charly9927

Yellow River is a great album, too bad it is a shrouded mystery why it did not ever get much play time on top 40
thumper549

I remember coming home in '68 ... the turn of phrase "cannon fire lingers in my mind. I'm so glad that I'm still alive." Good song
skipjack1965

Fabulous video. Are these guys not the absolute epitome of late 60's/early '70's British rock 'n roller's or what? The big hair, sideburns, bellbottoms and boots ... the drummer's scowling makes me howl! So very London!
hd74man

All time great song. Thanks!!
gli7utubeo

Just wonder where is this 3-piece band now? Are they still in one piece? Their songs were a must play during my time at the weekend party in the 70s. I was crazy about them then. Now it's even more convenient for me to listen to all their songs here. Great!
my88sfc

Brings back memorys! Excellent band!!
brian6078

Another classic from my childhood, my dad used to play all the time
oxsharnaxo

Used to sing this song in a country(!) band. Had an excellent lead guitarist named Danny Brawley who played a Strat copy by Carvin. Great sound. He died several years ago, but I think of him every time I hear this song.
cowartsamc

Musica que fez sucesso , como eu dancei esta musica inesquecivel
ivanete51

Fantastic. Love it all over again. First single I ever bought. I was 14 at the time. So many happy memories. Thanks.
summercos

A GREAT SONG!! For us who remember it as new, now in our 50's, it gets our blood moving!
kygent508

Great music.!!!! Jeff, I wish you record an album with all your great songs.
JeffChristiefan

I love this song; takes me right back to the early 70's, the Vietnam war, and sadly, POW and MIA bracelets.
jujohnson

Heard this song for the first time in too long just this afternoon, and now enjoying this video. Great song!
solelover44

LOVE THIS SONG!! Hey, is this my group ??? My name is CHRISTIE!!
CoffeeFann

Love this song! These guys had a great song and a good vibe, thanks for posting this!
CanadaAstro

I'm 16 and I have not long discovered some of the great music from long before I was born: thanks for puting this song on the net.
kembox

One of my favorite songs. The group is not what I thought they'd look like.
gjn2drum4Him

I remember where I was when I first heard it. The car I had was a '61 Rambler. Some days, this maturity thing just sucks!
8x56

The drummer looks like a zombie!
vegap72

I saw this video when I was 10 on a show called the Now Explosion. I think Vanity Fare and Crabby Appleton were on that show too.
sunra67

Funny, I remember seeing this group on the same show ... I grew up in New York City.
nessie96

I was 13 when this came out. Always loved the song but never saw this group. Supposedly, when the song was big in the charts, they refused to play for the Queen because they were expected to wear tuxedos. They weren't the most handsome looking guys either. The drummer kinda has a cro magnum/cinder block look going.
catdude57

One of the greatest pop songs ever. This is great!
tsokay

My, my ... very high quality video. Thanks for posting it. One of my favorite songs.
mybabba

Beautiful song .. .I heard this song when I was 12, in 1970 ... until now I enjoy it. I am from Peru, we also love rock´n roll.
Alfonsomarisol

I had the 45rpm of this song back in 1971. Great song.
WALNUTS52

A great song from 70s, until now I love this song so much.
ThanhHaTon

While in the marines, listening to it made me dream of home and hot trail back.
chilocco

Stationed in Mons, this was being played on all the juke boxes in the cafe/bars; many a happy memory of the early 70s in the eary hours ! !
42879

Check out our boy on the drum kit. Are you allowed to hold sticks like that? How's about the double kick drum? He probably just has his weed in one and uses the other.
dudefrombarrie

Great song! Still love it after all this time!
georgiegirl1

NIIIICE SONG
RMENIO

Good ole rock and roll, awesome!
sheraton114

I remember seeing this on TV when I was 10 (1970). I enjoyed it than I enjoy it even more now!
kasasko

This sounds slow compared to the record. Released 1970, what a decade, so much diversity.
iamthepig

This reminds me of my uncle in the 70s. He used to play this in his band.
antonyf66

When I hear this song it reminds me of my younger days.
anyonghaseyu

The first music I heard in my life .... I don't have words.
endeffector

Man, I love this song ... I first heard this song in the early eighties.
yoshigforce

As an American kid in Saudi Arabia in '75 I remember a local group covering this. I was very young but it's still very clear. Thanks for posting.
fuzzystone

Been a very long time since I heard this. I did not know there was a video - love youtube
DOGALR

The best song from 1970. I REMEMBER!
dgo29

A few years later The Sex Pistols took a notorious boat ride on the same river, and also passed by the houses of parliament. A much publicised scuffle with Scotland Yard bobbies ensued! Ha! Ha! Ha!
andreaprodan

Wow!!!! I have been waiting all my life for this video. Thank you for sharing!
talesofconfusion2

One of my all time favorite songs, with a number of personal connections. I first heard it in Spain. What a treat to hear it and see this video.
whatdreamsmc123

This was a band on Deram in 1967 called The Outer Limits (Just One More Chance). Christie was next. Their single, The Dealer, from 1973, is great.
thersthers

Wow - that boat must be moving. They're at Westminster when the video starts, and at the end, they're out at Richmond!
ashie259

Nice, but those artists would drown in the real Yellow River.
pamh8a

Always makes me smile. Reminds me of the A1 for some reason though.
qestu

This is a really great song! I remember seeing these guys on some TV program and I liked them instantly. Great sound!
georgiegirl1

Well, they could have at least LOOKED like they were happy ... still, great stuff ! Who knew there even WAS a video for this song ?
chg657

Wow .. one in a million chance a song from 1970 even HAD a video...
popfan

This is one of the great bands. That's what I like about YouTube, showing all the great golden oldies pop out here ... wow
Billy42

You people even have such stuff like Christie's video! Amazing!
Ellenai

LOVE THE BASS PLAYING ON THIS !
soniks59

I love this song!!!
HilaKillerQueen

Brought back such sweet childhood memories. I heard the song hundreds of times, but this is the first time I've seen the video.
tanand2000

The best group from the 70s!!!
BILLFRANCIS1956

You beautie, I've been looking for this one for ages. That's so cool.
compienz

This song was a big hit in the summer of 1970 in Mexico. I was six years old and remember visiting Leon, Guanajuato and the World Cup was well under way when this song on the air.
jbkatia

GREAT POSTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
andygibb32

That song brings me way back to when life was simple. sigh! wah! wah! boo hoo!
voxxer1

Nice to see the WHOLE video with no yellow lines!
peacelovinman

Jeff Christie seems to be much like the British/ German version of our Rick Springfield. One big hit, a couple smaller ones, looks good, plays guitar same style, and does concert tours forever! What a great life!
danje10

Jeff never wrote anything as good as this song.
